Administrative and Editorial Intern at NEW INC

• Conducted research on membership outreach for NEW INC’s open call

• Composed 2 articles for NEW INC’s online blog

• Drafted and designed FAQ handouts for newly joined members at NEW INC

Student Fellow for ART CART: SAVING THE LEGACY 

• Partnered with a New York based elder artist Zigi Ben-Haim and assessed his working environment through studio visits

• Documented 800 works of the artist using EmBARK Collections Management Software in collaboration with the artist and the artist’s working partner

• Designed and conducted an oral history interview with the artist after researching on his works, life stories, and previous academic publication by art historians and critics

• Drafted a continuity plan that provides the guidance for future documentation of the artist’s work

• Assembled readers for the Young Collectors Council Acquisitions Meetings and the Patrons Circle Day Trip to Boston

• Drafted a grant proposal for a 2016 exhibition Kung Fu Wildstyle

• Conducted prospect research for Freer and Sackler’s Arab art exhibitions, conservation lab renovation, and family programs

• Reorganized the records of funders using Microsoft Excel and created a searchable database for the department’s future use

• Composed emails to candidates and scheduled interviews in the recruitment of the Advancement Assistant for the Development Department

• Documented the galleries’ event Asia after Dark for social media platforms

Exhibition and Programming Intern

• Designed and edited promotional pamphlet about FLAG and cards for exhibitions for the visitor use within the gallery

• Drafted and designed a fully illustrated educational brochure for the exhibition Chinese Art Journey in the 20th Century: Go to the West, with a distribution of 6,000 copies

• Composed news reports and documented educational events for the museum’s official website

• Proposed rotating volunteers through different departments to provide them with a multifaceted experience during a national conference on museum volunteering and service

Researcher and Team Member

• Analyzed CMA’s past reports of membership sales and framed the challenges that the museum was facing

• Designed and distributed questionnaires in different neighborhoods in Manhattan to survey audiences’ expectations on CMA’s membership program

• Developed a 50-page report that presents the result of the audience survey and our suggestions on CMA’s membership program

Program Leader for the Study “The Roles and Practices of University Museums in Beijing”

• Received a 20,000RMB grant from the Renmin University of China and Chinese Ministry of Education

• Interviewed 22 university museums in Beijing and 2 international museums from curatorial, educational, and administrative perspectives

• Compared the differences of curatorial and educational programs between Chinese university museums and museums from Taiwan and US in the final report "The Roles and Practices of University Museums in Beijing"
